ICE Coach Education
The training takes place in two modules over two long weekends near Potsdam.
We offer 15 interested individuals the opportunity to become ICE Coaches.
The ICE Coach Education at the ICE Academy is a recognized educational event with the option of applying to your employer for educational leave!
Prerequisites
The prerequisite is at least one winter of experience with ice baths and the ability to relax in the cold.
In addition, a first aid certificate that is no more than two years old is required.
Motivation: Since personal motivation plays a decisive role, registration is via an application with a motivational e-mail

Module 1
Theory & Practice
- Thursday: Arrival, meditation, introductions, ice bath, individual coaching, relaxation exercises
- Friday: Thermoregulation, health benefits, ice bath individual coaching, contraindications, safety measures
- Saturday: Cold exposure in sports, relaxation exercises, cold exposure practice, emotional security
- Sunday: Logistics workshop, final tests, homework for further study
In the meantime
Implementation
- Gaining experience in accompanying beginners into cold and ice-cold baths (documentation of photos, questions, special situations).
- We recommend forming your own small group to take advantage of the changing seasons and steadily falling water temperatures for a gentle introduction to the cold.
Module 2
Consolidation & Testing
- Wednesday: Welcome meditation, discussion about homework, ice bath coaching
- Thursday: Theory presentations, coaching evaluations, role-playing exercises
- Friday: Winter cold exposure, logistics workshop, group work, challenging cold exercises
- Saturday: Cold weather hike, reflection, creativity, and flexibility in coaching
- Sunday: Certification, rituals in the cold, closing session
